"Best Green Hotels" Is Now Available
Have you struggled with finding a green hotel? Either you can't find a source of sustainable hotels or you can't tell what environmental action they have taken? We have experienced that too and wanted to find a solution. Best Green Hotels is our solution to the problem. Well, at least a start to the solution.
We are defining hotels to include lodges, motels, bed and breakfasts, and resorts.
This is a resource for travelers, green meeting planners, and hoteliers alike. Travelers can research green hotels anywhere in the world they may want to travel. Green meeting planners have a tool to help them find green meeting locations. Hoteliers have another avenue where they can promote their green actions to travelers. Hotels also can expand the green actions they take by seeing what their guests want.
Travelers can look for hotels that are doing something toward being an environmentally sensitive property. For your searching pleasure we have defined 24 sustainable attributes, 4 marketing attributes, and 4 travel-related attributes, all to help you find the right property.
Green meeting planners now have a resource to help them more easily find venues for the green meetings they are planning, around the world. They have the same search capabilities that travelers have, but with a meeting focus.
Hoteliers will start to see that travelers do want green hotels because of the increased requests they get for green actions. They will also start to notice the financial benefits of being green. That combined knowledge should encourage them to better promote their environmental activities and to take more environmental steps to improve their sustainable tourism business.
We are hoping that as travelers and meeting planners find green hotels that are not in the database they will suggest them for inclusion, and submit reviews for the properties they stay in. We also invite green travelers, green meeting planners, and hoteliers to update the information we report about the green hotels so we can offer the most complete information possible.
